Incant guncho line-eater

OK I got up to 295 points, and I'm stuck.  I'm not too proud to
admit I'm stuck and frustrated.  I have gathered everything I could
find.  I've snookered the scroll of power from the fear and summoned
the adventurer.  Now that I have that clown, what do I do with him?
He's interested in treasure, but I can't seem to use that interest
to my advantage.  He won't leave the front door of the castle, or go
into the temple and if he goes into the stairwell he goes poof.

Hints???  Please.
