The workshop will attempt to bring together about 50 researchers in language development, computer interfacing, psycholinguistics, cognitive science, lingustics, etc., to improve our general understanding of how people use multimodal dialogue involving voice. The objective is an improved perspective on how to design future computer interfaces. The Workshop will be held in Corsica in the first week of September, 1986. The working language will be English. Some funding will be available to assist participants who cannot obtain support elsewhere. Living cost in Corsica will be around $41 per day including food and lodging.
