What people new to the net just don't seem to understand is that

A new newsgroup is created only when a discussion that already started
somewhere else becomes so big, so popular, and so inappropriate to the
current group that its currently in that it needs to be separated!

Please!  UNDERSTAND!  Watch my lips!  A new newsgroup is only justified
when a popular discussion overloads an existing newsgroup, and promises
to continue for some time.

So, as things stand, there is NO NEED to create a newsgroup for image
processing, since there is no current discussion of it happening at all
anywhere.  What little traffic in image processing there was a while
back fit rather nicely into net.graphics, which is a logically-related
place for it to be.
