Astronautics Technology Center (ATC), ACA's research and development facility, is currently expanding the corporation's technology base into the areas of high-efficiency magnetic refrigeration, high performance computer development, space systems, weather radar systems and other targets of opportunity. Immediate openings exist in the magnetic refrigeration group, in the following areas: 1. Numerical Modeling Specialist -- Mathematical model- ing of new cryogenic refrigerator concepts and analysis of ac- tual prototypes will be required, also interfacing with en- gineers and scientists on design and operation of working pro- totypes. Related areas are numerical fluid dynamics, heat transfer and thermal analysis, magnetic field and force calcu- lation, mechanical stress analysis and thermodynamic opera- tional analysis. Experience with general systems analysis highly desirable. PhD or Masters degree in applied mathemat- ics, applied physics, computer science or mechanical enginer- ing and relevant experience is required. Relevant experience in thermal, mechanical and magnetic systems analysis highly desirable. BSME or BS- Physics with at least two years of relevant experience re- quired.
