PICS/DCPR refers to a family of large IMS inventory control systems that run on IBM mainframes. This may involve trouble-shooting at many levels : within the tools, the testing language, the communications environment, or Unix itself. - Developing tests of PICS/DCPR products. This will enhance understanding of issues involved in testing, enabling the applicant to better design/maintain tools. The ideal candidate will have : - An advanced degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. - Experience with the Unix operating system and the C programming language. - Knowledge of current communications hardware/software protocols and tradeoffs. - Experience with micro-computers. - Some knowledge of IBM/IMS, as well as TSO.
