those guys on net.philosophy are verbose as sh*t; they should call
it net.wordy.  Don't they have better things to do?  
Nevertheless, some of the conversations are rather humerous.
such as the one between a "Rich" and  a "Charles" concerning Einstein's
perception (or rather his brain's) of his surroundings if he didn't have
any visual input; that is, would the brain still "be" Einstein.  whatever.

Conversation between Snoopy and his cousin Marbles:

Marbles:  I was into *research* for a while...I spent weeks researching 
	why some dogs walk at an angle.  I decided it's to keep their
	back feet from hitting their front feet.
Snoopy:  That's pretty deep stuff...

there was a short piece written by Asimov about jokes...the subject
was the origin of jokes.  Does anybody really think of these things, or
do they just "pass it on"?  the conclusion in the story was that jokes
wero planted by aliens to test human beings' sense of humor...and as
soon as one earthling found out about the test, all jokes/man's ability
to enjoy jokes vanished...

what's that?  not funny, you say....?
