In this he said his daughter's hearing was permanently, seriously impaired due to a common immunization. He did not say which one. Next I posted an article on September 13 (friday) entitled "RE: Immunizations causing handicaps" asking him to tell us which one did it. eproj@burl then asked for comments about risks/benefits of vaccines. As did pking@uiucuxc. Now I post this response of comments. More specifics shall follow later. - Bill Cambre Immunizations are not required by law. States have laws requiring kids be immunized before entering the public school system, which may or may not be unconstitutional. As to comments about immunizations, I will make a couple here, then go to the books for more references. Studies have shown that the P part of DPT shots causes problems in a lot of babies. The other parts of the shot may also cause problems that haven't been well documented, but do not seem as serious as the pertusis part. ABC TV's 20/20 show did a segment about 6 months ago? about immunizations in babies. They showed a lot of cases where severe permanent damage was done due to allergic reactions. They documented cases where babies died days after getting the common immunization shots, and the deaths were attributed to SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome), but were actually allergic reactions to the shots. Immunizations given in Europe are quite often of a different type and are often given at an older age, i.e. 2 yrs. Because of this, statistics on allergic reactions to certain immunizations are far better in Europe than in the U.S. (But some U.S. pamphlets use the european statistics.) The rate of decline of incidences of these sicknesses was the same after the introduction of immunizations as before their introduction, indicating that maybe the better living conditions and cleanliness is responsible for the virtual dissapearence of the diseases. Most references that chart the incidences of these diseases start only at the time of the introduction of the vaccines, so you don't realize the chart really looks like this \ | \ | \ | \ | |\ | | \ | | \ | | \ | | \ | | \ -------------------- 1900 vaccine now Brought to you by Super Global Mega Corp .com
