I suppose the subject has been "proven" > in a courtroom. But that's relatively easy to do when the jury's been > brainwashed, and the judge has been paid off. Quite aside from my reaction to this as a Jew, as a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada I am outraged at this statement. The Canadian criminal justice system as administered in Ontario is as fair and impartial as any in the world. The Ontario judiciary are honourable and reputable men and women. Alleging that the judge (Judge Hugh Locke of Ontario District Court) has been "paid off" is a vile libel against Judge Locke and against the Ontario legal system. Mr. Black should retract this claim unless he can back it up. As to the jury being "brainwashed", both the Crown and the defense had ample opportunity to present their cases to the jury. The jury concluded unanimously beyond a reasonable doubt that the Holocaust happened and that Zundel was lying. Doesn't that speak for itself? (Comments that Mr. Black didn't actually *say* that the judge was paid off, only that "that's relatively easy to do when...", may be directed to /dev/null. His point was quite clear and his language quite explicit. Comments to the effect that he didn't refer to the Zundel case by name may also be directed to /dev/null.)
