We are investing some money into a computer system, and before we take the plunge and spend we would like to glean the opinions of people who have used, are familiar with, or read something we should know about Sun 3 computers and Apollo computers (or something similar if there is a good computer out there we should know about). Unix is important, graphics would be nice but are not essential, speed/money is a crucial factor. The machine is for research. Anyone interested in the results can write me for a summary, if I get swamped with requests I will post to the net.
