As I heard it, the !Kung came down with a bad case of social shock and have suffered badly. Their entire social structure has been upset right down to the psychology of the tribesmen (case in point, they now laugh when most people would think crying would be the appropriate behavior). They are fast becoming extinct. To top it all off, the land they were moved to isn't satisfactory farming soil.
