< munch munch munch>

	On Tuesday night (9/17/85) I saw Neil Young over in Tampa Fl.

The show covered a wide range of material, includeing material from 
Buffalo Springfield, CSNY, Crazy Horse, and his new group the International
Harvesters.  The majority of the material he played had a definite country
feel to it.  He played four songs off of his new album.  For those of you
who are not familiar with this album, Neil is joined by several country
singers on this album including Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Lynn
Anderson. 

Songs played to the best of my recelection were:

Down by the River			( With this one he showed he could
					  still rock )
Comes a Time
Sugar Mountain				( He had the whole stadium on their
					  feet singing this one with him )
Old man
Looking for a lover 			( I believe this is the name, off
					  of Zuma anyway )
Southern Man
Powder Finger
Helpless				( he said "here's one for David
					  Crosby" )
one about a train			( possibly "Southern  Pacific" a real
					  rocker )

Get Back to the Country 		( has a line saying "I used to be
					  a Rocker when I was young, but I
					  had to get back to the country")

California Sunset & several more off of his new album.


Overall I would say Neil is still an electrifing performer, though his show
was short (just under two hours).  The crowd was there to see a Neil from
another time.  He did please us and give us a glimpse of the old Neil, but
I for one hope he tires of this County music pretty soon.

One thing I couldn't figure was that when he played "Get Back to the Country"
a new backdrop featuring a hugh peace sign??
