The singer was a woman with a very throaty voice and the song was slow and a bit sad. I thought it might have been Bonnie Raitt, but I have quizzed Raitt-devotees and gotten nowhere. The only words that I remember for sure are part of the refrain: You've got to go where your heart says go, Isn't that so?
