They offer a good (not great, but good) product for an excellent price. Another suggestion is to keep an eye out for a used Fender Strat. (provided that it is in good shape and at a good price). The Gibson ES series are kindof nice (if you enjoy that type of sound). I would STRONGLY recommend buying a used one if you are interested in one in this line. The ES series is known for it's neck problems. I therefore suggest that you get one that is at least 4 years old and have the neck checked out by an expert. If it's gone for 4 (or more) years without neck trouble it's probably gonna last for a while without giving you any trouble. BTW, if you happed to see a used Gibson ES345 for sale, let me know.
