Message-ID: <2270CJC@psuvm> Date: Sat, 21-Sep-85 13:55:10 EDT Article-I.D.: psuvm.2270CJC Posted: Sat Sep 21 13:55:10 1985 Date-Received: Wed, 25-Sep-85 12:07:41 EDT Lines: 14 Some 20-30 years ago, when I lived in rural Pennsylvania, I used to hear whipporwills (sp?) fairly often. I've moved around a good bit since then, but for the last 8 years I've been living in semi-rural Pennsylvania, and I haven't heard a one, not ever at all. I'll grant they're not my favorite songbird, but they were distinctive and I liked them. So, does anyone know where can I go to hear on occasionally? Or are they dying out like so many other species? If so, why? --Carolyn J. Clark Bitnet: CJC at PSUVM UUCP : {allegra, akgua, ihnp4}!psuvax!CJC@PSUVM.BITNET Brought to you by Super Global Mega Corp .com
