Re recent posting about crew needed for cruise from Newport, RI to
Martha's Vineyard & vicinity, When news of hurricane gloria came
out, I decided to cancel out for that weekend, since our boat's
mainsail doesn't have enough reef points for a 150 knot wind;

We have rescheduled the trip for Oct. 4-7, and due to schedule
change, have predictably lost a crew member, so we still need one
more. We still have the Valiant 32 cutter, and there will be a
total of 4 of us, hopefully; if there's any justice in the world,
the weather will be fine.

Anyone interested in going should contact me a.s.a.p. Experience
not necessary.

We plan on leaving the Newark area for Newport in late afternoon
Thurs. Oct. 3 and will get underway Fri. morning, returning to
Newport Mon. afternoon. Anyone going from other areas could meet
us in Newport. Cost will be 168 $ for the boat per person for 4
days of sailing plus overnight Thurs. 10/3.
