Hello,
  I am in the market for a new 35mm SLR.  I am just now getting back into
photography after a year long absence.  At one time I sold photo
equipment, and thought I knew what was available, but after looking at
recent issues of Popular Photography, I see that I am way behind the times.
  I am interested in a camera that has automatic and manual features. I
am looking for a camera that is fairly compact (looks like they all are),
and in the price range of < $150 for the body.
  I have recently heard about a new lens on the market that is 28-205mm
has anyone heard anything about this lens? would it be a good investment
to buy a body, and this all-purpose lens?
  I am open to any and all suggestions..
