Dave, it's not clear to me whether you are against Grizzly or Taiwanese
imports or both. If it's the tools, there are some good and some bad. I've
seen a lot of Taiwanese junk and also some fairly good items. I bought an
AMT import clone of the Rockwell 6 inch jointer and been extremely well
pleased. Tables and fences ground true and flat and brought to a higher
level of finish than Rockwell at one third the price. The only problem
was that the blades were junk beyond repair and easily remedied with
a $21 replacement set from another manufacturer.
 
No flames please about buying American as I do have a few large American
Rockwell stationary tools including their thickness planer that is *made
in Brazil*.
 
On the other hand, if your implied flame is about Grizzly, I'm sure the
rest of us on the net would be interested in your comments or warnings.
