Secular Humanism is here to stay. You'll never ever drive it out of the government school systems. It is a fact of life. Why? Because it is the Official Religion of the learned gehrus of the National Educational Association. So long as we have the N.E.A. dictating educational policy, we will have their nihilistic bull-paddies of Secular Humanism as well. There's a very simple solution to ending the religion-in-schools controversy. Why not just abolish the government school system altogether? After all, any tax-subsidized industry interferes with free enterprise. And, according to Mr. Silber, the very knowledgeable president of Boston University, the state-supported colleges are unfair competition to the private colleges. Likewise, public government-operated schools are unfair competition to private schools. If we put education back into the private sector where it belongs, the average property tax bill would drop by 60%. There would be no problems about forced busing, de facto/de jure segregation, "special needs" students, prayer-in-schools, etc. If a parent didn't like what one school was teaching, they'd be free to find another one. The biggest problem is that the skags in the N.E.A. would lose their Pork Barrel. No more sucking gravy from the American public. They'd all have to do some legitimate work for a change. --Don Black Brought to you by Super Global Mega Corp .com
