Religious persecution exists in Nepal, but it is not nearly as severe in that country as in the others I mentioned. In Nepal, it is legal to *be* any religion, but it is illegal to *change* ones religion, or to encourage someone else to *change* theirs. Effectively, one is required to adhere to the religion of ones parents. Changing ones own religion or encouraging others to change their religion is punishable by imprisonment.
