Lines: 22 From: nep.pgelhausen@ames-vmsb.ARPA On matter transmission & body replacement: I don't know where this "your body gets replaced atom by atom in the course of a couple of weeks" idea came from, but it is ridiculous. Someone just wrote a msg that covered the major objection (i.e., where do the new atoms come from?), so I won't get into that here. I have heard, though, that replacement takes place on a cellular level over the course of 7 years. I do not remember if neural tissue was included in this replacement claim. My own opinion is: a duplicate may be good enough for people who know me...but it is not good enough for ME.
