My wife and I are constitutionally incapable of travelling any other way then by packing as much (quality and quantity) into our trips as we can. "You can rest when your dead" is our philosophy. We have made no exception for our kids and they travel wherever we do. Our trips have been better with the kids then without them. Our first trip with children was a three week trip to Europe with our two year old and my eight month pregnant wife. Another was a 23 day trip through England with a 4 and 6 year old. Now we're planning a trip to Greece for next year. The kids travel marvelously. We plan a lot of things that they like, beaches, castles, zoos. They love the cathedrals. We plan museum trips so we can get in, see the things we want to see the most, and then get out fast. It just takes some intelligent planning and a lot of common sense. Kids, by the way, will remember a whole lot more about a special trip than you might think. One caution I forgot to pass on to the person requesting information on travelling with children. It is very difficult to find rental cars in Europe with seat belts in the rear. In many countries children cannot ride in the front seat. After our trip to England, I had a one year letter writing battle with Avis before I finally got a $500 refund from them. It's a long story, but they guaranteed me a car with seat belts in the rear, but then couldn't deliver. I had to rent an expensive Volvo from them to get rear seat belts. Next time I go I'm going to take something along I can install myself, just in case. Vick Bennison ...decvax!decwrl!rhea!tools!bennison (603) 881-2156 Brought to you by Super Global Mega Corp .com
