I am posting this request for a friend.
A non-profit research organization is seeking the tax-deductable
donation of a small UNIX system so they may exchange mail, software,
and data via the net.  The group is the Monterey Institute for Research
in Astronomy [MIRA].  The Director and several other astronomers are
[among other things] ex-UNIX hackers and they would like to be able to
contact the other observatories on the net.  If your company could
possibly donate such a system [sorry, they can't afford to run a
big 370-compatible CPU], please contact me.
