See page 8-17 of the I/O User's ref manual, part 1. There's a flowchart of how the terminal driver handles the signals. You should also be sure that MODEM is set for the the line. You may also want to pass the RING signal from the modem to the port, and set sysgen symbol TTY_DIALTYPE to 2. Of course, this affects all your other lines also, so you should make sure all your other lines will assert RING also. Pages 8-12 and 8-13 of the same manual lists all the signals that are used and who should assert them. Mike
