I have a copy of the Yale Bright Star catalog on computer, and I am
trying to use it as a database for a 3-dimensional space flight
simulator.  I have encountered quite a few stars in the catalog which
have a negative parallax, and I cannot figure out what this is supposed
to mean - a negative parallax makes no sense to me.  
   Could someone please tell me (through mail) what these negative
parallaxes mean?  For now I'm assuming that those stars have no known
parallax.
