I am currently in the market for a Nakamichi BX300 tape deck, and
need the following info.:

1)What's a good price for it, retail and mail-order?  The stores in
  the San Francisco bay area want $699 (the list price), which I think
  is ridiculous.

2)What's a good mail-order place for it?  I've seen an ad by SAVE, Inc.,
  a mail order place in New York, in Stereo Review magazine. They want
  $485.00, which sounds quite low, but are they a reputable firm?

3)Any of you out there who own this model have any comments/criticism/
  advice?
