I decided on: 1 Magnavox 1040 2 NAD 7140 3 Boston Acoustics A150 4 A Grado $18 cartridge 5 A new belt 6 Websters Dictionary Notes: 1 (169.96 @ Service Merchandise) I can't resist a bargain 2,3,4,5 (925.00 @ Woodbridge stereo) they are incredible 3 I listened to Polk and I liked these better. I listened to Mission and I liked Polk better than Mission. 4&5 are for my antique Pioneer PL-10 turntable. 6 Yes I can now spell stereo (not sterio) :-) Thank you Phil Ngai :-( Also: I saw a large number of articles about mods for the 1040. At the time I did not own one, and I just read and ignored them. Can someone MAIL me the information on where the MOD comes from and what it is ?
