Message-ID: <94@mit-eddie.UUCP> Date: Tue, 15-Oct-85 14:57:51 EDT Article-I.D.: mit-eddi.94 Posted: Tue Oct 15 14:57:51 1985 Date-Received: Thu, 17-Oct-85 20:26:12 EDT Organization: MIT Lusers and Hosers Inc., Cambridge, Ma. Lines: 30 I bought an Honda Accord LX a few months ago. I'm pretty satisfied with it but I could've spent less money, I suppose, which brings me to the question of the CRX. I was wondering how owners of the CRX felt about the car's performance. For example, my speedometer indicates a maximum speed of 120 mph, whereas I've seen CRX speedometers indicate 140 mph. I don't see how a Civic CRX can go faster than an Accord LX since the Civic CRX has a 1.5 liter 4 cylinder engine whereas the Accord LX is 1.8 liter/4 cyl. Does the CRX rev even lower than the Accord LX? (I can get up to about 80 mph at 3000 rpm in fifth gear and the car doesn't complain in the least, but I haven't tried to go any faster than that.) Again, I don't see that since the CRX tires are smaller. At any rate, I'd be curious to see if anyone considers the CRX to be a superior car to the Accord LX. I'd like to point out one drawback: the CRX is a two-seater which makes life rough if you have a lot of passengers, but I was thinking maybe a two-seater wouldn't be so bad so no one could bum rides off me :-) One other question: I see the Honda '86's are being announced. Do they plan to come out with a turbo this year or anytime soon? I'll post results to the net. -- It's like a jungle sometimes, it makes me wonder how I keep from goin' under.
