One thing to be careful about with these beasts:  technically they are
not cars but 'multi-purpose vehicles'.  What this means is that a lot
of safety regulations (headrests, I-beams in doors do the kid on a bike
doesn't drive through, 2.5MPH bumpers.....in general, anything to keep
you and the road from getting closer than you would care to) are NOT
required.  I was (still am) looking at these since my family has
reached a size that we will not all be able to get into anything but
a van or bus with our next child.

Anyone interested in lobbying that these be re-classified as a 
passenger vehicle?  Contact your federal representatives!
