After 12 months, both Volvos had to have the main seals replaced. I found that this is a common problem with the solvent that is used to suspend the Teflon(TM) particles. I have had 4 other Volvos which never had such a problem or actually never had an engine problem in the 120,000 miles I kept each one of them, so I feel that my problems were definitely Slick 50 related.
