Message-ID: <128@ulose.UUCP> Date: Sun, 20-Oct-85 22:40:50 EDT Article-I.D.: ulose.128 Posted: Sun Oct 20 22:40:50 1985 Date-Received: Tue, 22-Oct-85 07:23:59 EDT Distribution: net Organization: CADMUS Computer Systems, Lowell, MA. Lines: 32 <---- a blank line ----> After touching down on the grass strip next to the pavement at my local field today, I watched a Commander sail by to my left and execute a perfect landing. Turning my plane around to check for departing/landing traffic before crossing the active, I noticed a C150 holding on the runway. He started his roll and looking the other way I saw that the Commander was still on the same runway, still not near a taxiway. I yelled a warning over the Unicom and watched the C150 takeoff right over the Commander. The Commander's pilot was not amused, and the following was heard over the Unicom: Commander: "Cessna 486, do you read Commander 10P ?" No reply, just silence. Nashua Unicom: "Cessna 486, do you read the unicom?" 486: "Affirmative!" Commander: "Cessna 486, do you read the Commander now?" 486: "Negative!" Just another reason to leave Nashua field out of your next cross country plans ... :-) -- bob (decvax!ulose!bob)
