The same kind of thing occurred when, at a party, I was
chatting with a friend who was drinking rum and Coke (ugh).  I
was quaffing beer, but for some reason I had been looking at
the icky-sweet drink in my friend's hand.  Expecting to taste
sugar and nail-polish remover, I swigged some beer--reality
was altered and great holes opened in time and space.  Yeesh.
