After pencilling it for over a year, the book was moved in the Dc hardcover/softcover format, with new stories in THE OUTSIDERS on better paper, and reprints (delayed by one year) in BATO. In order to keep both comics going while waiting for the next year to elapse, they needed two artists to draw Outsiders stories concurrently for that year. (Here's where I put my foot in my mouth if I get this wrong...) So, Alan Davis is drawing BATO for a year, after which it will become all reprint. And Jim Aparo is drawing the new OUTSIDERS deluxe-format comics. Mike Ciaraldi seismo!rochester!ciaraldi
