Waitaminnit. The way I misunderstand it, when Jean gets merged with the Phoenix, in Rachel's timeline, she stays merged. Thus, even though she stripped of the "phoenix" power, the simulacrum remains as Jean Grey, allowing Rachel to be the child of Scott and the Phoenix simulacrum. And Jean-prime stays at the bottom of LI Sound and the Phoenix is the mother of Rachel -- right? Boy.
