Yes, there's an alternate course of action that's both. Most studies on speed reading and the like conclude that you can't increase your speed much before you start losing comprehension. Common sense tells you that much of the material you've read in the past was not worth reading. So work on cutting bogus reading material out of your life and you'll increase your effective reading speed without sacrificing comprehension. You might start with netnews!! (-: (-: (-: . . .
