Instead of slicing, it tore and shredded the vegetables (yes, I used the correct side of the disc). Is this normal, or is there something that I can do to prevent this. 2) Can this unit be used to make peanut (or other nut) butters? if so, how? 3) What do I have to do differently if I want to grate something finely as oppesed to course grating, e.g., if I was to finely grate Romano cheese as opposed to stringy grating swiss cheese?
