The problem is that when typing characters, emacs can't keep up with what's being typed. The characters display in a jerky manner on the screen as if the system were overloaded. (This has been reproduced repeatedly with my being the only one on the system). For instance when typing the sentence... Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their party/country. Emacs displays it as.... now is the ti me fo This has happened on the last few versions of Unipress Emacs we've had. This makes Emacs less than desirable to use. We are using the hard-coded vt100 driver and tvi970 terminals in the vt100 mode. If anyone has experienced this problem or knows something about it, PLEASE let us know. Unipress has heard of it happening but doesn't seem to know why...
