Why is there a shoe size >for males and females and for male children and female children >and for babies. Is it written down somewhere what the different >sizes mean? As far as I know the answer is NO! And no one does >a god damn thing about it except laugh at those of us who complain! > You think that's bad? You should try to buy women's clothes. There is one set of sizes for infants, one for children up to about age 7, another size to about 12. Then there's juniors, misses, and women's sizes. The juniors and misses clothes are the best styled, but just try to buy them if you are, like me, ahem, solidly built. Anybody with any hips or boobs has to go for women's--which are designed for my grandmother. (No offense to my grandmother, but I try not to dress exactly like her.) And everyone's sizes are different. Some go 10, 12, 14, 16. Some go 11, 13, 15, 17. Some go 31, 33, 35, 37. And some go 30, 32, 34, 35. Not to mention the ones just labeled S, M, and L. And I can't really see any correlation between the 38 of one manufacturer and the 38 of another. THEN you have the clothes made in Taiwan. Most of those are made with the assumption that a large woman is 5'2" and 15" around the waist. (Which is possibly true in Taiwan, but not much help here.) All this explains why I go clothes shopping as little as possible and wear the few things I've found until they are in shreds. -- Sue Brezden Real World: Room 1B17 Net World: ihnp4!drutx!slb AT&T Information Systems 11900 North Pecos Westminster, Co. 80234 (303)538-3829 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I march to the beat of a different drummer, whose identity, location, and musical ability are as yet unknown. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
