Message-ID: <730@sfmag.UUCP> Date: Mon, 7-Oct-85 18:06:38 EDT Article-I.D.: sfmag.730 Posted: Mon Oct 7 18:06:38 1985 Date-Received: Tue, 8-Oct-85 04:29:25 EDT Distribution: net Organization: AT&T Information Systems, Summit, NJ Lines: 20 I loved phantasia, then I found the grail. Now I'm a Valar with nothing to do except help new characters. I thought I'd try to win with each character -- then I got the bright idea of throwing monsters at a low level character until it had both a charm and a blessing. Then the Valar relocated the character to 1000000001, 1000000001 and threw the Dark Lord at the character. Suddenly, the character died! But no, the scoreboard says he died of old age (alas, retired at level 10000 after an hour of play). My question, have I done all that can be done (except become an ex-Valar?) It is no fun to play the Valar! I guess I should think of it as having won. Another question -- aren't Valars a bit too powerful? My Bildo the halfling character turned out get retired before the Valar! Well, phantasia served its purpose -- I now have no desire at all to play hack ;-) Maybe I can regress to game-writing now...
