I have successfully used the ring of adornment against a nymph only
once, while playing PC Hack, adapted from 1.0.1.
I put it on my right hand, and when the nymph later tried to seduce
me, I got a message like "The plain nymph tries to seduce you,
but you don't seem interested."
(Normally, you get "The beautiful nymph seduces you and starts taking off
your armor.")
Curiously, when I once put the ring on my left hand,
the nymph still robbed me blind.
However, that time, I put the ring on just as it was about to attack.
Perhaps that was the problem, not the left hand.
