Here is a short excerpt from a letter I sent to STellA (sp?):

To sum it up:  If you don't want Rock Hudson/AIDS jokes told around you,
you are completely within your rights to request said abstenance in your
presence; and anyone who does not honor your wishes is an inconsiderate
#%#@$%.  If you don't want to read such jokes in a \public/, \open/,
\anarchistic-by-nature/ forum such as net.jokes, then [quietly] use your
'n' key, [silently] don't read at all, or post to \net.news.group/ requesting
a special subgroup of net.jokes that you won't have to read (we got and kept
around for a while a net.jokes.db for dead baby and other highly offensive
jokes, so don't tell me it can't work).
