C. Fields, made around 1935-1938 or thereabouts, Fields, who is encountering a typical rich bastard, engages in the following conversation: Rich Guy: Is this your place??? Fields: Yes, it is. RG: Do you want to sell it? F: I might consider it, but it'll alter my plans.... RG: I'll give you 4,000 for it (He wants it to build a race track) F: Nothing doin' (and now, here it comes) RG: You're Drunk! F: You're Crazy; but I'll be sober tomorrow, and you'll be crazy for the rest of your life. This line apparently comes from an old vaudeville act that Fields must have heard on the circuit, (He might have made it up). I believe it goes, (I heard this from an old vaudevillian): You're Drunk!
