I think that one of the best things that could ever happen (and will happen), is when there is finally a way for your computer to "read" a recipe or receipt or whatever and turn it into a text file. I don't think this is too far fetched for type, but it is probably pretty distant for hand-written stuff. When it does happen, though, it will be the beginning of true usefulness for the "Average Joe."
