Co., Inc., Everett, WA Lines: 52 Michigan is on line with AMIGA - Source STROM Computer in Plymouth, Michigan... They are getting a shipment of 20 every other week and only require a $25 deposit. I have not received my development kit yet so I am just playing around with Workbench and ABASIC. However, I do have a few questions to ask of any other Amiga owner out their with respect to the editor and ABASIC itself. 1. Can someone post a listing of all the Commands used with ED and or EDIT. The manuals are far from being complete and since these programs are the only interface to real world programming a command listing would be most helpfull. 2. How do you exit ABASIC and return to Workbench... I've used the 'system' command, which exits ABASIC, but the ICONs for the disketts loaded in my drives do not appear back on the screen... Only solution so far is to reboot. 3. How can one set the date and time from CLx. 4. In ABASIC, is their a way to change the screen width so that more than 40 characters appear on a line for editing. 5. Since the DOS manual is not shipped with the units yet (really make life frustrating), can someone tell me how to get an selection ICON to appear in a DRAWER for a program that I just created. I hate to look at all thoes empty Drawers! 6. What would I have to do to modify the startup command file in directory 's' to load an ABASIC program, run it, exit it, then return to the Workbench Menu. 7. I notice that when I move the drawer ICONS around, that they loose their orientation on the screen and I am always forced to use the Workbench pulldown 'CLEAN UP' to get them back in a readable position. Is there any way to get around this (what does snapshot do?). All in all after 3 Days, I'm impressed, except for the manuals, being a software developer for ATE (Automated Test Equipment) the Amiga Challange is on. As far for the Amiga Discussion Group, I've been a subscriber since inception and now that I am an owner, I would like to say, keep posting tips.... believe me, this data bank will come in handy when you get yours.
