Although the product is advertised as a well-made >product, how can one trust a hard drive for only $595? You are completely mistaken, if my experience is any guide. Before buying my Sider I had read 3 positive reviews in the magazines, and posted an inquiry to the net. Responses to this were also positive. I've now owned my Sider about 3 months, and its performance has been flawless and as advertised. I might add that my system sits on a rather rickety metal table which is easy to bump and shake with one's knees. Despite this, I have never had even a transient failure of the drive, much less a head crash. Incidentally, when I first formatted it, the formatter reported *no* areas as bad, and needing to be locked out. How many of you with hard drives can make that claim? I have no connection with First Class Peripherals other than being a satisfied owner of a Sider drive. - From the Crow's Nest - Kenn Barry NASA-Ames Research Center Moffett Field, CA ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ELECTRIC AVENUE: {ihnp4,vortex,dual,nsc,hao,hplabs}!ames!barry
