Would anyone with a developer's package be kind enough to answer
a few ST questions?
#1 I have the Hippo C compiler.  It supports numerous GEMDOS functions
of which I would like some information on.  What does the function call
'create(name,attr)' do???  I assume 'attr' means attributes.  Would someone
please explain the various attributes?

#2 What does the GEMDOS function 'open(name,mode)' do???  What are the various
modes???

#3 What is a 'handle'??

If any of the above questions insult anyone's intelligence, I apologize.
However, since I am a new ST owner without a development package, I
 am struggling to understand the GEMDOS functions.

I think documentation that describes the ST GEMDOS functions should be
supplied with the computer.  I shouldn't have to pay $300.00 to learn
about the DOS that my machine runs.
