However, Robert Ling mentioned seeing funnies on the screen upon booting. According to our local Atari Club (ACORN) newsletter (the "Kernel"), ST's have been shipped with two-sided sticky tape holding some of the chips into their sockets. Unfortunately during shipping the tape expands, forcing these chips OUT of their sockets. The solution is to open the case (after getting the go-ahead from your warrantor), remove the chips, peal off the sticky tape, and reseat the chips. Do this for one chip at a time so you don't swap chips, and be sure to note the orientation. Dan -----------------------------------
