When I hook up 1 or 2 1541's to the serial port, they work fine. When I hook up my printer ,using either the Card-? or G-Whiz interface, it works fine. But, when I hook up the disk to the 64, and the printer to the disk, neither of them work. The serial port appears to 'hang'. I have tried a different 64 with no luck. At this point, the only things I havn't swapped out are the printer itself, and the 64's power supply(which is now the primary suspect). The cardco interfaces don't buffer the serial bus, the leads go directly to the processor chip. I was thing of building a quickie buffer with a quad and gate to see if that helps. Any suggestions?????????? -- ------------------------------------------------------------------- Dave Lowrey "To vacillate or not to vacillate, that is the question.... ....or is it?" ...!( be those of the author and not necessarily those of his most eminent employer. ]
