I've just purchased the IBM Xenix text formating package.  It looks good,
but the documentation lacks a few major details.  Including any information
the drivers for the troff package.  When I execute the troff command, it
returns with the message 'busy'. 

Can anyone answer the following questions ?

0: What is required for troff to function ?
1: What device(s) does troff use/support ?
2: Is there a document describing the output troff so I can write my 
   own drivers ?
