Turns out that the recommended interrupt level for the mouse when installed on the PC/AT is the same as COM2, thus (I think) preventing simultaneous use of the mouse and COM2. I have an IBM serial/parallel card as COM1, and an AST Advantage with a disabled COM2. Is anyone familiar enough with the AT's interrupt levels and its complement of available hardware to suggest another interrupt line which I could use safely with the Microsoft Mouse? -- /Steve Dyer {harvard,seismo}!bbnccv!bbncc5!sdyer sdyer@bbncc5.ARPA
