It was written and directed by William Peter Blatty, the author of "The Exorcist". This is actually its second rerelease. Blatty wasn't pleased with the way it was handled on either of the previous releases, and remains convinced that somewhere out there is an audience for his film. I saw it the first time around, and thought it was pretty good. (By the way, it's based on a Blatty novel of the same name, "Twinkle, Twinkle, Killer Kane".) -- Peter Reiher reiher@LOCUS.UCLA.EDU {...ihnp4,ucbvax,sdcrdcf}!ucla-cs!reiher
